Spotted: Epic Gas Expands Fleet with New LPG Carrier

In today’s spotted we bring you photos of freshly-delivered 11,000 cbm LPG carrier, named Epic Shikoku.

The ship was handed over today by Japan’s Kyokuyo Shipyard to owner and operator of pressurized gas carriers Epic Gas.

Epic Shikoku is the third vessel in the company’s series of eight newbuilds.

In February 2016, the company also took delivery of a 7,500 cbm LPG carrier.

The Singapore-based company’s newbuilding program encompasses two 7,500 cbm and three 11,000 cbm vessels.

The remaining two 7,500 cbm vessels, Epic Bonaire and Epic Baluan, are to be delivered from Japan’s Sasaki Shipyard in the third and the fourth quarter of 2016, respectively.

In addition, the delivery of one 11,000 cbm vessel, Epic Samos, from Japan’s Kyokuyo Shipyard is expected in the fourth quarter this year.

Finally, the deliveries of two more 11,000 cbm vessels, Epic Sardinia, to be delivered under a bareboat charter, and Epic Salina, from the same shipyard are scheduled for the first quarter of 2017.

Epic Gas ows and operates a fleet of 44 vessels ranging from 3,300 to 11,000 cbm that serve the international supply chains of oil majors and commodity traders throughout Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
