Spotted: Iver Ambassador Emerges from Makeover

In today’s spotted we present you Iver Ambassador, a bitumen tanker owned by Dutch shipping company Iver Ships, part of Vroon, which recently underwent a drydocking in Singapore.

During a five-day period, the 7,709 gross ton vessel was repainted from black into red and made Marine Environmental, Safety and Quality Assurance Criteria (MESQAC) compliant, in line with Exxon Mobil time-charter requirements.

One of the main MESQA items was the addition of emergency stops for cargo installation, according to Iver Ships.

The vessel has now left the shipyard to recommence bitumen transport in the Far East, Iver Ships said.

Built by Chinese shipbuilder Zijinshan in 2015, Iver Ambassador features a length of 109.9 meters and a width of 20 meters.

Including Iver Ambassador, Iver Ships currently operates a fleet of 14 asphalt/bitumen carriers and 11 product/chemical tankers.
