Statoil Ready for Snefrid Nord Subsea Template Installation
Statoil has informed that it is all set for the installation of Snefrid Nord gas field subsea template in the Norwegian Sea.
The announcement comes just one year after the development of the Snefrid Nord got the green light by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy.
The Statoil-operated Snefrid Nord gas development is satellite linked to the Aasta Hansteen field and includes one well in a single-slot subsea template.
Aker Solutions is in charge of the delivery of the single-slot subsea template, a suction anchor and umbilicals for the field, while Subsea 7 will deliver flowlines and spools in addition to performing all subsea installations.
Production from the filed is planned to start in late 2019.
Snefrid Nord will produce some four million cubic meters of gas per day in the plateau phase, the planned productive life being 5-6 years.
