Stena and Mann Lines Link Up on North Europe Routes

Stena and Mann Lines Link Up on North Europe RoutesStena Line and the shipping, logistics and forwarding company Mann Lines started a new cooperation on their North Sea and Baltic Sea routes on November 1.

The new cooperation revolves around three key points: a fixed space charter to Stena Line on Mann Line ship; Mann Lines will act as sales agent when it comes to Stena Lines route network; and Stena RoRo will charter the RoRo vessel Stena Foreteller to Mann Lines. The Stena Foreteller will enter her new service with Mann Lines in January 2015.

Mann Lines currently offers a liner RoRo service between the ports of Harwich, Cuxhaven, Tallinn, Turku and Bremerhaven. In addition Mann Lines offers a container service between Rotterdam and the Baltics. Mann Lines also offers services within inland distribution and other logistics.

“Mann Lines is a strong player within logistics and in business areas where we are not as strong. Areas which I here refer to are automotive, project loads and the high & heavy segment. From both Stena Line as well as Mann Lines we see that this cooperation will be beneficial for customers at both companies,” said Anders Peterson, Business Development Manager, Stena Line.
