Under the agreement, the company’s 179,362 dwt Capesize Seattle would be hired at a gross charter rate of USD 16,000 per day.

The 2001-built ships would work for a period of sixteen to nineteen months. The charter is expected to commence on December 25, 2018.

Diana Shipping said that this employment would generate around USD 7.68 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

The vessel is currently employed with Singapore-based Koch Shipping at a charter rate of USD 24,000 per day.
