Talisman hires Icon Offshore’s AHTS

Icon Offshore Group Sdn Bhd has recently been awarded a contract from Talisman Malaysia Limited for the provision of one anchor handling/tug/supply vessel.

The contract is for a firm period of two years with an option to extend the hire by a further one year. The contract started in September 2014.

The company said that the contract, valued at approximately RM63.5 million ($19.48 million), inclusive of the option period, is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of ICON for the financial year ending 31 December 2014 and beyond.

The contract is not expected to have any effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of ICON.

Our Board is of the opinion that the acceptance of the Contract is in the best interest of the Company.
