The Netherlands: ICON Yachts’ Latest Design Baton Rouge Goes to Finals

ICON Yachts, the builder of Baton Rouge, leading with smart design and technology, the proven and innovative modular construction at an unparalleled value from a North European shipyard won four nominations as finalist for ICON’s creation BATON ROUGE.

The jury for the prestigious International Showboat Awards has selected the yacht as finalist for no less than three awards in the following categories:

+ Interior Design Award – 60m+ displacement

+ Interior Layout Award – Motor Yacht

+ Bespoke Furniture Award

The first nomination for the World Superyacht Awards held at the Guildford Hall in the heart of London, where Baton Rouge was nominated for Best Displacement Motor Yacht of 1,300GT to 2,999GT, ca 60m – 84m category.

At 1,420 gross tons, this imposing full displacement motor yacht offers incredible volume over her six decks – probably more volume than any other 63m yacht currently on the water. While constructed to a similar hull and machinery platform as the first ICON delivered last year, according to Rupert Nelson, sales director with burgess in Monaco, “Baton Rouge is effectively a totally customised vessel, radically different in concept and really pushes the design boundaries, resulting in a spectacular yacht with innumerable unique features.”

Baton Rouge, is the most recent launch of 62,5m Superyachts completed by ICON Yachts, who are quickly establishing a name for excellent craftsmanship and innovative construction methods with leading edge technology and best value in Dutch built quality.
