The Netherlands: Pronomar-Merus Rings for Cruise Vessel Antoinette

Pronomar-Merus Rings for Cruise Vessel Antoinette

After supplying its innovative and environment-friendly Pronomar-Merus solution to counteract scaling and help improve the water quality on-board their cruise vessel River Queen 1 last year, Pronomar was was contracted to supply the following rings to be installed on-board the cruise vessel Super Ship (S.S.) Antoinette:

  • one MERUS 2” HCI BIO ring at the hydrofoor
  • one MERUS 2” IND BIO ring at the warm water system,
  • one MERUS 2” IND ring at the feed pipe to the kitchen and laundry and, last but not least,
  • one MERUS 2 ½” BIO IND at circulation line of the swimming pool

The purpose of the rings is as easily explained as they are installed: to keep the pipes, hydrofoors, boilers etc. free from scaling and to bring back the water to its initial quality. The way the rings work is that they give off tiny oscillations that disturb the lime scale. Afterwards the troublesome substances are simply flushed away leaving the equipment in question free from any scaling, thus bringing back the initially experienced performance level.

The equipments lifetime is also prolonged which in turn means a significant decrease in operational costs as well as a saving in time as there is no maintenance involved with the MERUS rings.
