The Netherlands: Success for OEG Offshore’s First Exhibition at Offshore Energy 2010

Oil services firm OEG Offshore (OEG) is celebrating a successful first exhibition at the Offshore Energy Conference in the Netherlands.

The Aberdeen-based firm – which specialises in the design, build and rental of cabins and cargo-carrying units for the offshore oil and gas market – was one of more than 200 companies showcasing its services and products on Thursday (October 7) this week at the third annual Offshore Energy, which was held in Den Helder and focuses on the international offshore, oil & gas and energy market.

OEG’s directors Ross Baird and Peter Coy attended at the show in partnership with Lubbers Logistics, the firm’s Dutch agent, and provided on-hand technical expertise and advice to delegates visiting their stand as well as showcasing one of OEG’s workshop units.

Ross Baird said: “This was the first time OEG has participated in Offshore Energy and we experienced a substantial amount of interest in our services and products during the course of the event.

“There was a particularly high number of queries from companies operating in the renewables market, which is encouraging as this has been a key area of growth for us this year. Receiving such interest following OEG’s substantial contract win with Siemens for the London Array wind farm project is testament to a growing awareness in the industry that OEG’s services and products are not confined solely to the oil and gas market.

“We established a presence in The Netherlands earlier this year through a partnership with Lubbers Logistics and an investment of over £500,000 in expanding our rental fleet on the ground. Having this level of accessibility to clients in The Netherlands has proven successful and we have secured several major contract wins in the area as a result.”
