ThinJack Grabs Egypt Contract

Westhill-based oil service company ThinJack has secured a deal with an undisclosed Middle East oil and gas company for the removal of multiple well Christmas trees on surface platforms in the Gulf of Suez, Egypt.

Reportedly the agreement could be ThinJack’s largest ever agreement in the region.

It follows the successful completion of emergency work to assist with the restoration of water injection, using innovative technical services, and a comprehensive tendering and contracting process.

This also follows ThinJack’s third anniversary of its alliance with the Egyptian company, Yadco Petroleum Services, who should play a key role in the delivery of the new contract.

ThinJack has also received help from Scottish Development International (SDI) to open up new opportunities in the Egyptian market. This has included participating in SDI-led trade missions to Egypt which introduce a range of Scottish companies and organisations to Egyptian companies, especially in the upstream energy sector.

SDI is a partnership between the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise which aims to attract inward investment to Scotland and assists Scottish based companies to trade overseas.
