Third Multi Purpose Boat of Project MPB14 Hits the Water at Moscow Shipyard

Moscow Shipbuilding and Shiprepairing Plant P.C. on June 19th successfully launched the third boat in a series of six Multi Purpose Boats of project MPB14 ordered by Rosmorport for its Azov-Black Sea branch.

The pilot boats were designed by MT-Shipbuilding.

The main difference between these boats and class analogs is in brand new project decisions, which allow for the latest achievements in boats projecting. Recommendations and requirements for pilot boats are followed at most. The boat has a modern design. Lots of attention was paid for crews and passengers placement, for newest systems of ship control and navigation safety providing. The newest propulsion system Volvo Penta IPS 450 is used on the vessel. This type of engine allows to lower fuel consumption, to provide excellent handling and speed. The navigator has the precise control over the vessel, the boat responds to commands immediately, regardless of speed. All these advantages ensure a high degree of safety, reduces crew fatigue and provides additional comfort in intricate conditions.
