THMA Signs Up Aalco as 200th Member

Team Humber Marine Alliance (THMA) has signed up Aalco as its 200th member company,  nearly 20 years after the business development organisation was formed.

John Coates, sales and marketing manager of Aalco, Hull, said: “With the recent announcements by and on Able Marine Energy Park, CS Wind, Dogger Bank and the development of Green Port Hull, the Humber has an incredible opportunity in the offshore wind and renewables industry, more than most other places in the world.

“We have joined the group to strengthen our expansion into the renewables industry, where Team Humber has a great wealth of knowledge as well as a strong network of member companies.”

Aalco joins a growing list of Team Humber companies alongside other recent newcomers Boston Energy, GGP Consult, Handelsbanken, James Fisher Marine Services and Wilkin Chapman LLP.

“Achieving 200 members is definitely a landmark for us. Team Humber was set up in 1996 and, as with many other businesses and organisations in the Humber region, it has been a long and sometimes difficult road to realise our aims and ambitions,” said Mark O’ Reilly, chairman Team Humber Marine Alliance.

Aalco, which has more than 4,000 employees worldwide and 18 service centres throughout the UK, provides non-ferrous metals in semi-finished and finished forms. It supplies a wide range of industries including power generation, pharmaceuticals, engineering, oil refining and food production.
