Tianjin Marine Shipping to Purchase Four LNG Carriers

Tianjin Marine Shipping Co. has announced a plan to construct ten VLCCs (Very Large Crude Carrier) and four LNG carriers.

The company intends to raise up to USD 1.96 billion to help finance the purchase of fourteen new vessels and to charge working capital, Seatrade Global reports.

Tianjin plans to order five VLCCs at the end of this year, which should be delivered in 2014, and the next five VLCCs in 2014, scheduled for delivery in 2015.

Two LNG carriers should be ordered at the end of this year and delivered in 2015. The next 2 LNG carries will be ordered next year and delivered in 2016.
