TMS Cardiff Gas enters LPG sector

Greece-based LNG tanker operator TMS Cardiff Gas has signed a contract with Hyundai Heavy Industries of Korea for the construction of two 78,700 cbm LPG carriers with the option to build another two.

These orders mark the company’s entry into the LPG sector. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in the second and the third quarter of 2017, when they will enter into time charter contracts with gas and oil giant Shell, TMS Cardiff Gas said in a statement.

Both of the vessels will be able to transit the new and old Panama canal, it added.
