Damen: Partnership with Van Oord (The Bahamas)

Following a six-year acquisition program, the Government of the Bahamas has announced the signing of a Letter of Intent to acquire 9 vessels for the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and construction work for their naval bases.

 

Boskalis: Port of Mombasa Expansion Underway (Kenya)

In week 14 Cofra started installing 5.5 million meters of drain for the expansion of the Port of Mombasa in Kenya for the Japanese contractor Toyo Construction.

 

Australia: Adani Turns to BMT

BMT is collaborating with Adani Mining Pty Ltd (Adani) to design the expansion at the Adani Abbot Point Coal Terminal at Abbot Point, north of Mackay, Queensland.

 

Taiwan: 2400 m3 Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger Launched

Yesterday, the Ching Fu Shipbuilding launched a 2400 m3 Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD). The vessel has been ordered by Kaohsiung Harbor Bureau (KHB) and will be used for daily maintenance of Kaohsiung port.
