Germany: Riffgat Offshore Wind Farm Half Done

Half of the total 30 wind turbines at the Riffgat offshore wind farm have already been set up.

In recent months, Deltares has tested a new foundation structure for offshore wind turbines in the Atlantic Basin in Delft and optimised a design for scour protection.

AMBAU to Install 41 Transition Pieces at EnBW Baltic 2

Since 3 June 2013, AMBAU GmbH has been constructing 41 transition pieces to be used for the jackets at the “EnBW Baltic 2” wind farm on commission from Bladt Industries A/S.

Japan: Experimental Offshore Floating Wind Farm Project

A consortium made up of Marubeni (project integrator), the University of Tokyo (technical advisor), Mitsubishi, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Japan Marine United, Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding, Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal, Hitachi, Furukawa Electric, Shimizu and Mizuho Information & Research have been participating in an experimental offshore floating wind farm project sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry since March 2012.

Denmark: Blue Water to Handle DanTysk OWF Foundations 

The yellow TP’s (transition pieces) stand tall on the quayside in Esbjerg and lying right next to them is the monopiles weighing 550 tons. All TP’s and monopiles was transported on a barge from Vlissingen, Holland to Esbjerg where Blue Water will handle the loading of components onto the installation vessel.
