1. Two Navy Divers Die While Conducting Dive Operations in Maryland, USA

Two Sailors from Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) Two died while conducting diving operations in Maryland on Feb. 26.

2. Subsea 7 Wins Subsea Installation Contract Offshore Norway

Subsea 7 S.A. announced the award of a pipelay and subsea installation contract valued at approximately US$160 million from Statoil at the Oseberg Delta 2 field, located approximately 130 kilometres west of Bergen in the North Sea.

3. Royal Navy Survey Ship Captures Images of Underwater Canyon

A Royal Navy survey ship has produced a series of stunning images of a Grand Canyon-style ocean floor hidden deep under the Red Sea. HMS Enterprise used her state-of-the-art surveying equipment to reveal the natural wonder during her nine-month mission to improve understanding of the waters east of Suez.

4. Subsea 7 Nets USD 285 Mln Subsea Contract Off UK

Subsea 7 S.A. announced the award of a contract from Talisman Sinopec Energy UK Limited to install two 5 kilometre pipeline bundles. The contract, valued at US$285 million is for the provision of subsea construction services in support of Talisman Sinopec Energy UK’s Montrose Area Redevelopment Project.

5. Prysmian Secures Dolwin3 HVDC Connection Job (Germany)

Prysmian Group, world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, has been awarded a new major contract worth in excess of € 350 million by Alstom Grid for the connection project DolWin3 linking offshore wind farms in the North Sea to mainland Germany on behalf of the Dutch-German grid operator TenneT.
