1. Diver Killed in Accident at Riffgat Offshore Wind Farm (Germany)

A British diver was killed while performing underwater work at the Riffgat offshore wind farm, located north of Borkum in the North Sea, between Friday 12 July and Saturday 13 July. The 26-year-old was buried in 20-meter water depth by a concrete mat, Die Welt reports.

2. Chevron Awards Contracts for Alder and Rosebank Projects

Chevron North Sea Limited announced that it has awarded a number of contracts for its Alder and Rosebank major capital projects to UK suppliers to a total value of over £550 million.

3. DOF Subsea Awarded Contract by Teekay for Newbuild FPSO

DOF Subsea Norway, a specialist subsea solutions provider, has been awarded a contract by Teekay Petrojarl Production AS in Norway for its newbuild FPSO.

4. Fire Breaks Out on Hercules 265 in Gulf of Mexico

Hercules Offshore today provided updates to the incident aboard jackup drilling rig Hercules 265, a 250′ mat-supported cantilevered unit, operating for Walter Oil & Gas Corporation in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico OCS lease block South Timbalier 220.

5. Odyssey Recovers Silver from SS Gairsoppa Shipwreck

Odyssey Marine Exploration, pioneers in the field of deep-ocean exploration, has recovered over 61 tons of silver bullion this month from a depth of nearly three miles.
