1. Samsung Secures Order to Build World’s Largest FPSO

Samsung Heavy Industries’ Nigerian subsidiary announces the award of a new order to build an FPSO vessel worth around $3 billion.

2. DCN Divers Rescue Survivor from Jascon 4 (Nigeria)

On Sunday 26 May, the tugboat Jascon 4 ran into difficulties whilst engaged in static towing operations, capsized and sank with a crew of 12 on board.

3. Reach Subsea Enters New Agreements

Reach Subsea has entered into a charter party agreement with Bourbon for the MPSV “Bourbon Emerald” for 140 days + options.

4. Subsea 7 Orders Deepwater Lowering System from Caley

Handling systems specialist, Caley Ocean Systems has been awarded a contract by Subsea 7 to design, manufacture and supply a deepwater lowering system (DLS). The DLS will initially be deployed by Subsea 7 on the Chevron-operated Gorgon project, located off the northwest coast of Western Australia, to lower subsea structures weighing up to 950Te in water depths in excess of 1,300m.

5. Helix Completes Sale of Caesar Pipelayer

Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. announced that it has closed the previously announced sale of its pipelay vessel, the Caesar, to Trevaskis Ltd. Cash proceeds of approximately $108 million of the total selling price of approximately $138 million were received at closing; the Company had previously received a $30 million cash deposit for this transaction in October 2012.
