Transas' Vessel Traffic Management Systems for Malaysian Ports

Transas Marine Pacific, in cooperation with its partner KASI Malaysia Sdn Bhd, has been awarded two contracts for installation of Vessel Traffic Management Systems in Tawau Port and Kimanis Bay Terminal.

With these orders Transas continues its growth in the Malaysian market. Implementation of the projects will be carried out in close cooperation with Transas strategic partner KASI (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, integrated marine solutions provider.

Scope of supply includes Transas state-of-the-art Navi-Harbour VTS software paakcage, 2 x 19ft Radars, 2 x Transas AIS Base Station T214, 2 x Transas CCTV, 2 X VHF Direction Finders, 2 x Standalone Playback workplaces and 6 x Operator Workplaces.

Sabah Ports Authority General Manager, Datuk Mayong Omar, has expressed their sincere appreciation on the successful and very professional manner with which Transas and KASI executed past VTMS projects in Sabah. He especially highlighted companies’ committment to high quality and work completion ahead of schedule.

Together with KASI, Transas carried out a series of successful projects and initiatives including installation of Vessel Traffic Management Systems in Sapangar Bay Container Terminal, Sandakan and Lahad Datu ports.
