U.S. LNG exports slip on week

Liquefied natural gas exports from the United States decreased over the last week, according to data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

The data shows that twelve vessels with a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 43 Bcf departed the U.S. liquefaction facilities during the week ending November 6.

Out of the twelve cargoes, six were loaded at Cheniere’s Sabine Pass facility, two from its Corpus Christi project with another two loaded at Dominion’s Cove Point LNG plant.

Cameron LNG and Freeports LNG export facilities shipped one cargo each.

EIA noted that one vessel was loading at the Sabine Pass terminal on Wednesday.

On November 4, the 1000th LNG export cargo was shipped from the United States since the start of LNG exports from the Lower 48 states in February 2016. An estimated 3.42 trillion cubic feet of natural gas have been exported as LNG from the United States between February 2016 and November 6, 2019, EIA said.
