U.S. offshore rig count climbs to 19

According to a Friday report by Baker Hughes, a GE company, the number of offshore rigs in the U.S. increased to 19 units over last week.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -5 to 1,047 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 5 rigs from last week to 1,047, with oil rigs down 4 to 858, gas rigs down 1 to 187 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

U.S. Rig Count is up 107 rigs from last year’s count of 940, with oil rigs up 102, gas rigs up 3 and miscellaneous rigs up 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 1 rig to 19 and down 2 rigs year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +12 to 172 rigs

Canada Rig Count is up 12 rigs from last week to 172, with oil rigs up 14 to 117 and gas rigs down 2 to 55.

Canada Rig Count is down 17 rigs from last year’s count of 189, with oil rigs up 5 and gas rigs down 22.
