UAE: MIS’ Fabrication Division Wins New Contracts

 

UAE-based MIS Group (Maritime Industrial Services ), a diversified engineering and contracting group focused on the energy sector, announces that is has recently signed contracts in its Fabrication value stream, with a number of new and existing clients.

The contracts, a combined total of over $15 million in new awards over the past few months, cover a diverse scope of services with most of the projects scheduled for delivery before the third quarter of 2011. They include the following:

PETROFAC (UAE): MIS was awarded a new contract by Petrofac, the international oil & gas facilities service provider, for the supply of pressure vessels and columns for gas sweetening facilities in Qatar’s Mesaieed and Dukhan industrial districts on behalf of Qatar Petroleum. The contract includes mechanical design, detail engineering, procurement, manufacturing and inspection of vessels and columns with equipment totaling to 56 items working for various services. The emphatic supply includes material compliance to the stringent project specification and well phased fabrication process.

A subsidiary of RAK Petroleum Public Company Limited (UAE), the latter being an existing MIS client, executed a contract with MIS for the provision of engineering services for rehabilitation of the Saleh platforms offshore Ras Al Khaimah. Under the terms of the contract, MIS will provide engineering deliverables to support the field refurbishment and development requirements. The scope for rehabilitation of the four Saleh platforms will be subsequently finalised in consultation with RAK Petroleum.

ESSAR Offshore Subsea (India) Limited, a reputed EPC contractor in the offshore field and a new MIS customer, has contracted MIS for the fabrication and delivery of piles and conductors for ONGC – D1 development project. The scope of work comprises of rolling, fabrication, testing, delivery, load out and sea fastening of 4500 MT of piles and 1500 MT conductors, within a tight delivery timeline of 4-6 months.

SAIPEM SPA (Italy), an existing MIS client, signed an agreement with MIS for the fabrication and supply of 14 pressure vessels for the Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd. (GASCO) Shah Gas Development Project in Abu Dhabi. This project scope involves engineering, procurement, fabrication and supply of 14 pressure vessels over a period of 11 months.
