UK: AGR Showcases Reservoir Expertise at EAGE Conference

UK AGR Showcases Reservoir Expertise at EAGE Conference

AGR’s global reservoir management expertise will be showcased at the world’s largest geoscience event.

The company will have a high profile presence at the 75th European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) conference, taking place in London from June 10-13.

Aberdeen-based Scott Dingwall, AGR’s Principal Geophysicist, will deliver a presentation on carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) as part of the conference’s technical programme. AGR is currently working with a client to investigate development options to sequester up to 40 Mt/yr of CO2 into offshore geological storage sites in the Southern North Sea.

Experts in reservoir management from the company’s Norway and UK offices will be on a stand at the event. Among the products and services they will be promoting to visitors from around the world will be the Multi-Client studies in the Barents Sea and recently launched AGR TRACS Evaluations product, encompassing AGR’s acclaimed reserves and resource evaluation services.

AGR has been delivering reservoir services for over a decade and has an enviable reputation recognised by international and national oil companies, state regulatory institutions and private investors.

Morten Heir, VP of Reservoir Management said: “EAGE is an outstanding event and we are glad to be present after last year’s success in Copenhagen.

“We greatly appreciate the opportunity to meet our clients and colleagues from around the world during the exhibition. I am delighted Scott Dingwall is giving a presentation about CCS, which is a highly regarded expertise we have in-house.

“As a acknowledgement of our expertise, AGR was awarded a 50-million NOKs contract by Norwegian-state owned Gassnova last August, as a result of which our Norwegian team is providing technical consultancy and advising the company on strategy for CCS projects in Norway.”

The EAGE Conference and Exhibition, incorporating SPE EUROPEC 2013, held at London’s International Exhibition and Convention Centre (ExCeL) includes a high-profile Technical Programme and Exhibition covering the latest developments of the oil and gas industry. Some 6,000 delegates are expected to attend, with more than 330 companies taking part in the exhibition.
