UK books another Qatari LNG cargo

The UK’s South Hook LNG terminal is about to receive more liquefied natural gas from Qatar.

The Onaiza LNG carrier, with a capacity of 210,000 cubic metres, is due to arrive at the terminal in Milford Haven on August 20, according to port data.

This is the second cargo booked for the LNG terminal next week as the 266,000 cbm Rasheeda is expected to unload a shipment of the chilled gas on August 18.

Owned by Qatar Petroleum, Exxon Mobil and Total, the South Hook terminal can process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic metres of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
