Council Secures Money for Stranraer Harbour Dredging

An investment of approximately £5m earmarked for a wide range of maintenance projects throughout the region has been set to be agreed by Dumfries and Galloway Council, BBC reports.

The proposed concept was accepted in January but now the council must support specific projects.

Among recommended undertakings there are also three coastal improvement projects including dredging work at Stranraer Harbour, wall repairs at Garlieston Harbour and quayside improvements at Glencaple.
