UK: Flexlife Wins ISO Certification for its Operations

Flexlife, an oil and gas industry specialist in subsea project and integrity management, has been awarded the ISO/TS 29001 certification for its operations in the UK, the US and Brazil.

The internationally recognised standard and technical specification defines the level of quality management system required by service companies operating in the oil and gas industry.

To achieve the certification, which encompasses the ISO 9001:2008 standard, Flexlife underwent a vigorous two-stage assessment carried out by ISOQAR.

The assessment consisted of an initial evaluation of the company’s management system documentation, followed by an audit of onsite practices ensuring that the organisation complies with industry specifications.

The certification will allow the company to further increase it’s already extremely competitive service offering in major oil and gas centres around the globe.

Flexlife Director of Strategic Development, Stuart Mitchell, said: “We are very pleased to have achieved this certification as it demonstrates our commitment to providing high end customer service. It also shows that Flexlife strictly adheres to the international oil and gas industry standards set out for service companies.

“In such a competitive market it is essential for business to not only satisfy but exceed customer expectations. Having a certified quality management system shows that we are taking every step possible to ensure we are consistently meeting and surpassing these expectations.”

Flexlife will be audited every six months by ISOQAR who will conduct a renewal assessment every three years.

Flexlife’s global HQ is in Aberdeen, Scotland. The company also operates in the US, Africa, the Far East and Mediterranean. It was Scotland’s fastest-growing young company in 2010.
