UK: Macduff Ship Design Wins Contract to Produce New Design of General Purpose Workboat

 

Macduff Ship Design has been contracted to produce a new design of a General Purpose Workboat for Inverlussa Marine Service based at Loch Spelvie on the Island of Mull. To be built by Macduff Shipyards the 26.75m vessel will be designed for Coastal cargo, Civil engineering and Renewable energy support and General towing work in addition to Mussel farm operations. To be powered by two Doosan 530 Hp engines the 100 Tonnes of deck cargo will be handled by a 100 T/m deck crane.

Vessels up to 35m overall length are built and outfitted totally undercover in modern, fully equipped building sheds. Conversions, modernisations, refits and repairs are also undertaken.
