MPI Resolution Wins GeoSea Charters

MPI Offshore announced the award of a charter party in respect of MPI Resolution by GeoSea N.V., subsidiary of the Belgian based DEME Group.

MPI Resolution is scheduled to commence work on a series of GeoSea projects situated in the North Sea and Baltic Sea area as from the middle of June 2013 for a period of approximately 6 months. MPI Resolution is a wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV), designed to transport, lift and install wind turbines and their foundations. Key features on MPI Resolution include a 600-tonne-capacity main crane plus a 50-tonne-capacity auxiliary crane, DP-1, accommodation capacity for 70 persons, an operating depth of 25 metres (at 5.0m leg penetration and 7.8m air gap) and an ability to jack with 4,440 tonnes of cargo on board.
