UK Offshore Survival Specialist, Falck Nutec, Adds New Member to its Team

Offshore Survival and Health & Safety experts, Falck Nutec Limited, have appointed Michael Findlay, former owner of Technical Lifting Solutions (TLS) Training (Scotland), as a non-appointed Director of Lifting and Mechanical Maintenance.

Managing Director for Falck Nutec UK, Graham Gall, said of the developments: “Michael brings over 25 years of experience to the business which will drive and develop our technical services to a new level, which will include the addition of ECITB, NVQ technical standards to our existing OPITO portfolio. We are delighted to be able to announce this development, giving us a much more robust and well-rounded offering to the market.”

The news comes as the company officially launched a brand new £550,000 industrial training facility extension to its centre in the heart of the Teesside. Both companies see this latest development as being highly beneficial to the firm. Mr Gall commented that: “The developments in Teesside will also benefit from the added expertise we now have in rigging and lifting. In recent years we have been undergoing a period of continuous improvement in rigging & lifting training, and we are sure that this current development will aid in achieving this strategy”.

Mr Findlay added that: “I am excited to have joined a global firm with the reputation of Falck Nutec and I am looking forward to future developments. I would like to personally thank all the local companies for their support and enthusiasm during my time with TLS Training. Special thanks should also go to C&LR Properties, who were landlords during this time. I am ready for a fresh challenge and this is one I am savouring – given the extended course portfolio, operational resources and the ambition of both parties.”
