UK to get more Qatari LNG

The UK’s South Hook LNG terminal is set to receive another cargo of liquefied natural gas from Qatar next week.

The Al Shamal LNG tanker, with a capacity of 217,000 cbm is scheduled to deliver the cargo on November 24, according to Milford Haven Port Authority.

The vessel built by Samsung Heavy Industries in 2008 will be the second one in four days to unload at the South Hook LNG terminal.

The South Hook terminal can process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic metres of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
