UK: Wireline Engineering Appoints Magnus Wardle as New Engineering Director

Wireline Engineering has announced the appointed of Magnus Wardle as the first Engineering Director in the Aberdeen company’s fourteen year history.

A native of Aberdeen, Mr Wardle re-joins Wireline Engineering from Halliburton Energy Services where he spent the past five years as technology manager and as chief engineer prior to that. He had previously held the role of design manager at Wireline Engineering before joining Halliburton.

As engineering director, Magnus assumes overall responsibility for the design and development of all products supplied by Wireline Engineering Ltd.

Bill Petrie, managing director of Wireline Engineering said: “It’s quite a coup for Wireline Engineering to have Magnus back in the team and I’m delighted to make this announcement. His engineering knowledge and experience of product development is second to none and he brings a level of engineering leadership required to move the company forward.

“He strengthens our engineering capability at a time when we are increasingly focused on innovation and developing our unique technologies. We plan on investing significantly in the development of new products over the next few years as we continue to build our export markets.

“Magnus will lead and coordinate the activities of a busy team of experienced design engineers and 3D-CAD draughters, whose goal is to ensure a flow of original products to the company’s customers around the world.”

“The company is going through a significant period of growth and change, adjusting from creating bespoke fast response items to focusing on the development of our own diversified range of products. Wireline Engineering develops original well intervention technologies for the oil and gas industry worldwide and currently works with more than 200 customers in more than 60 countries.

The company was established in 1998 and its headquarters are located in Aberdeen, Scotland. It has international offices in the Americas, Middle East and Far East and employs 50 people worldwide.
