Ukraine: Zaliv Shipyard Hands Over Vessel Sayan Princess

Zaliv Shipyard Hands Over Vessel Sayan Princess

JSC Shipyard Zaliv has completed the construction works on the offshore platform supply vessel of project 832 CD. The vessel was designed by the famous shipbuilding group Havyard International AS.

By the words of the General Director Mr. Nikolay Yermak, despite the fact that Zaliv has already worked on the offshore shipbuilding projects this one was a bit different.

The order for the construction of the PSV was initially placed at one of yards in Sevastopol but due to the various reasons the construction works have not been completed. As a result ordering company came to Zaliv shipyard with an offer to continue the realization of this project. In July all steel structures were transferred from Sevastopol to Kerch and in September the keel was laid at the Zaliv’s slipway.

On April 26, 2012 shipyard Zaliv and the customer company signed the delivery-acceptance documents and on May 3, the new vessel “Sayan Princess” was towed to Norway.

Havyard 832 CD is a medium-sized platform supply vessel which meets the new demands in the market. The design has greater capacities than existing designs and energy-optimised diesel-electric propulsion, and it satisfies the new environmental requirements for Clean Design.

The Havyard 832 CD is expected to establish a new segment in the future PSV market.
