USA: Army Corps Unveils Galveston Harbor Dredging Plan
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, has announced a plan for the Galveston Harbor and Houston Ship Channel dredging programs.
The work consists of providing materials, equipment and labor for hopper dredging (deep draft) of approximately 3.3 mln cubic yards of material from the mentioned areas.
This project also includes an option for material disposal at Shoal Point Placement Area in lieu of Ocean Dredged Material Disposal for various sections.
The Solicitation issue date is approximately 17 Jun 2013, and the estimated cost range for this project is over $10 mln.
