USA: DSC’s Wolverine Class Dredge Delivered to Dexter Sand & Gravel

DSC’s Wolverine Class Dredge Delivered to Dexter Sand & Gravel

Recently Dexter Sand & Gravel of Missouri took delivery of their new 10-inch Wolverine dredge. The company purchased the hydraulic dredge to reach sand deposits below the ground water level.

DSC’s Wolverine class dredge is manufactured in its entirety at the company’s W&S division located in Greenbush, Michigan. The dredge is known for its highly portable economical design, features a 25-ft digging depth, and is powered by a CAT C-13 diesel engine. The Wolverine has been the preferred dredge amongst companies looking for an affordable option for non-automated dredge technology.

Dexter Sand & Gravel, a subsidiary of Delta Companies, Inc., purchased the dredge for use at a new 100-acre sand and gravel mine. The dredge will supply a slurry feed to the sand plant for production of concrete and mortar sand, as well as gravel products. Eventually, the mining area is expected to grow to a size of approximately 85-acres and the dredge will operate for about 6-8 months out of the year.

We have been very pleased with the features and performance of the Wolverine dredge. DSC and W&S knowledge and expertise has been very helpful to the successful start-up of our new dredging operation”, stated Mike Martin, Delta Companies’ Aggregates Area Manager.
