Harley Marine Services Purchases ASD Vessel 'BRAtt'

The BRAtt is representative of a modern ASD tug and was purposefully built as a training tool for the maritime industry. Its compact design is scaled to proportionately represent a full size tug with dimensions of just 25.6 feet by 11.8 feet and a horsepower of 450.

The HMS BRAtt joins the diverse and growing Harley Marine fleet of 120 vessels. The HMS BRAtt will be used extensively in the tractor tug training program for crewmembers.

Director of Marine Operations for Harley Marine Services, Captain Scott Manley, stated, “This vessel will greatly enhance our ability to train qualified and quality operators for our fleet.

The addition of the HMS BRAtt will allow crewmembers to become familiar with maneuverability and handling capabilities of a tractor tug prior to taking con of a full sized vessel. Her compact size will give trainees the opportunity to practice their operational skills in confined spaces.

The HMS BRAtt is stationed in Seattle, WA and is a welcome addition to the Harley Marine family of companies.
