Oregon Grants Dredging Permit for Jordan Cove LNG

Oregon Department of State Lands has granted the Port of Coos Bay the dredging permit for excavating an access channel and slip adjacent to the Coos Bay Navigation Channel.

The permit authorizes removal of approximately 1.75 million cubic yards of material from dredging.

The Port of Coos Bay plans to develop a multi-berth, multi-purpose shipping facility that will accommodate large vessels. The facility will be suitable for inbound and outbound movement of bulk commodities, in addition to wood products and LNG.

The permit is one of many needed before the Jordan Cove LNG project can go forward.
