Vantage Drilling picks ICM Group for offshore training

Consulting services firm ICM Group has been awarded a global preferred agreement for Vantage Drilling’s onboard regulatory and crane training requirements.

ICM said that this long-term agreement, effective from March 2021, covered the majority of ICM’s training programs to support Vantage Drilling’s onboard training requirements.

It will also contribute to expansion of the standardization within training delivery through its global fleet, this will ensure that all employees are trained as per industry standards and in-line with the safety procedures set by Vantage Drilling and their clients.

It is worth reminding that Vantage Drilling has recently been put in charge of managing Seadrill Partners’ four deepwater floating rigs.

Under these agreements, Vantage’s subsidiaries will provide operating, management and marketing services to Seadrill Partners and its subsidiaries in respect of four of its deepwater floaters – the West Polaris and West Capella drillships, and the West Leo and West Sirius semi-submersibles.
