Vantage's Titanium Explorer Starts U.S. GoM Operations

Vantage Drilling Company (“Vantage”) announced that the ultra-deepwater drillship, Titanium Explorer, commenced operations in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico on the morning of December 7th, 2012.

The Titanium Explorer is contracted by Petrobras for eight years, and the expected revenues of the contract are approximately $1.6 billion.

The Titanium Explorer is a self-propelled, dynamically positioned drillship suited for drilling in remote locations because of its mobility and large load carrying capacity.

It is currently equipped for drilling in water depths up to 10,000 feet, and is designed to drill in water depths up to 12,000 feet.
