VIDEO: Cecon Hires ‘Lewek Centurion’ for Pipelay Job

Lewek Centurion

Cecon has agreed a contract with Singapore’s EMAS AMC for the use of “Lewek Centurion” to install pipelines in support of Cecon’s project commitments currently in-hand. The vessel, formerly know by Caesar, was  previously owned by Helix Energy Solutions.

The work covers of approximately 60km pipelay works plus associated activities, which are scheduled for execution August/September 2013.

The subject pipelay works were originally planned to be performed by the DPLLV “Sampson”, but following Sampson delays on other contracts in Mexico, unrelated to Cecon, the company has decided to carry out the work with a different vessel.

“Cecon is very pleased with the EMAS AMC Agreement, which includes a shared commitment from both parties to explore further opportunities for continued cooperation going forward,” said Cecon in a press release.
