The divers are working on the initiative of Project Baseline under the nonprofit organization Global Underwater Explorers. GUE.

As can be seen in the video, the first dive site. Sharkshood. has good visibility and a pretty water color, which is common in Bimini. The second two sites, The Bimini Road and Three Sisters Rocks, have greatly reduced visibility, which is rare for Bimini.

This is undoubtedly occurring as a direct result of the dredging taking place less than a mile south.

While the dredging is temporary, the long-term effects on the surrounding environments are unknown.

Project Baseline encourages divers to continue to document and publish data such as photos, videos, and visibility at dive sites to record change and foster awareness.
