VIDEO: Life Raft Drop Test

Norway-based Atlantic Offshore company has performed a life raft drop test in Oseberg South.

Oseberg South is an offshore oil field in the North Sea, which is located 115 kilometres from the coastline and 13 kilometres south of Oseberg Oil Field.

Liferafts in general are collapsible and stored in a heavy-duty fiberglass canister, also containing some high-pressure gas (in commercial models, usually compressed air) to allow automatic inflation to the operations size.
