VIDEO: Subsea 7 ‘Seven Arctic’


The future addition to Subsea 7’s fleet, Heavy Construction/Flexlay vessel ‘Seven Arctic’, is currently under construction at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in South Korea and is due to enter service in 2016.

According to London based subsea engineering, construction and services company, the vessel will be equipped with a Huisman unique knuckle boom rope-luffing crane which can operate in a series of configurations, with capacity of up to 900t. and two auxiliary cranes.

Moreover, Seven Arctic will have a Huisman 325t top tension Vertical Lay System and a 7000 capacity underdeck basket setup, with optional deck reels.

The vessel has a length of 162 meters and breadth of 32 meters, with accommodations for 132 persons and deck area of 2600 square meters.

In addition, the vessel will be equipped with a ROV Hangar (Port and Starboard) with working water depth of 3000 meters.
