Petrovietnam's CEO Pays Visit to Dung Quat Shipbuilding

In the afternoon of 12th April 2012, Petrovietnam CEO Do Van Hau had a meeting with Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company Ltd (DQS). Attending the meeting were Deputy General Director Vu Quang Nam, representatives of departments of the Group, Leaders of DQS, PVTrans.

DQS Leaders Representative has reported to the Group CEO business production results in the first quarter of 2012. DQS has try best to repair and handed over three cranes vessel for Vietsovpetro as Hoang Sa, Con Son and Truong Sa, as well as receiving VSP 01 to dock for maintenance and repair.

Regarding marketing, DQS has finish bidding offer for Murmanskaya rig maintenance, Tam Dao rig, consider choosing partner for newbuilding Semisub for Vietsovpetro. In addition, DQS also seek opportunities to promote cooperation with partners such as IHI MU, Mitsubishi, Entralog Nigeria, Sudoexport.

DQS is also highly concentrated on completing 104,000 DWT crude oil tanker to hand over to PVTrans shipowner in 05/2012.

Speaking at the meeting, CEO Do Van Hau proposed DQS to urgently strengthen the manpower to complete the remain work to hand over 104,000 DWT Tanker. However, to ensure quality, “do not make any mistake due to schedule pressure”, said CEO Do Van Hau.
