Volstad Oceanic Vessel Leaves Turkish Tersan Shipyard

Volstad Oceanic vessel has left Tersan Shipyard in Turkey, where it was built, Skipsteknisk informed through social media.

The vessel, of Skipsteknisk ST-259 Arctic design, is a purpose built offshore construction vessel for operation in Arctic waters, the company noted.

The vessel was built for Volstad Shipping, an IRM services provider based in Norway.

It will be capable of conducting ROV operations, subsea installation work through moonpool and over shipside, crane operations and cable and pipelaying activities.

The 128.5 meters long Volstad Oceanic vessel is specially designed to operate under severe weather conditions in cold waters with high maneuverability and station keeping capabilities.

According to the latest AIS data, the vessel is currently in France, near the English Channel.
