The survey has been completed with no reportable incidents and within budget, despite the challenges of weather and the environmental values of the area. The data will now be processed in Perth, with a preliminary dataset available in February and the final fully processed data expected to be available during May.

WHL Energy Managing Director, Mr David Rowbottam, said: “It is pleasing to have successfully completed the La Bella 3D seismic survey under very strict environmental guidelines. The Otway Basin is an area where seismic surveys have often not been successfully completed or run significantly over budget due to weather and/or environmental issues (Cetaceans) and the successful completion of this survey without incident and on budget is testament to the planning of the survey and the execution of the project by the project team.”
“We look forward to receiving the preliminary processed data in February and the final processed data in late May. This data will be used to define drilling targets for 2015 and for the subsurface definition and development planning of the La Bella contingent resource.”
