Yemen LNG Celebrates 1st Gas Export Anniversary, Signs Agreement with PWP to Construct 10 New Schools

Marking the 1st Anniversary of Yemen LNG first gas export, Yemen LNG signed Sunday, 7 November, with the Public Works Project an agreement to construct 10 new schools in project areas in Radhom, Jirdan, and Al-Rawdah districts, Shabwah governorate.

The agreement falls within the framework of the Yemen LNG sustainable development program which is the largest such private program in Yemen.

The 10 schools will receive 2,000 female and male students in 2012. Yemen LNG has already built 7 schools along the 320km pipeline extending from Marib to Shabwah.

The agreement was signed by François Rafin, General Manager of Yemen LNG, and Mr. Saeed Abdo, the Executive Director of the Public Works Project.
