Yemen LNG Celebrates World Day for Safety and Health at Work

Yemen LNG marked the world day for safety and health at work in Sanaa to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases.

“It is an awareness-raising campaign intended to focus our attention on emerging trends in the field of occupational safety and health,” Yemen LNG General Manager Jacques Azibert emphasized in his speech during this annual event.

Yemen LNG also celebrated achieving top safety performance records in 2013 within the oil and gas industry worldwide. “This is the result of commitment to every aspect of our operations and especially to safety in all our work,” Azibert added. “A good safety culture is a living culture with constant reassessment by all personnel engaged in their respective duties,” he said.

To expand knowledge and raise the awareness levels on safety and health topics, this year’s celebration was marked with interactive activities where nine local Yemeni and international companies, providing HSE services and supplies to Yemen LNG, participated in a full-day exhibition where they showcased a wide range of equipment, products and services used for safety and health purposes in the oil and gas industry in Yemen.
