Yemen LNG Delivers Emergency LPG Supply to Yemen

Yemen LNG has delivered an emergency supply of LPG to Yemen.

For three months now the domestic supply of LPG has dropped to around 500 tons by day, well below the usual demand of 2200 tons by day. Road blockades in Mareb governorate and the shutdown of the Aden refinery were the main causes of the shortage.

LPG is used by most Yemeni households for cooking and the shortage of LPG causes major problems for millions of families. After a delivery of 12000 tons in May to the port of Aden, Yemen LNG delivered 12000 tons early June and a new shipment of 12000 tons is planned in the last days of June.
