Yemen LNG Loads 100th Cargo

On 20th March Yemen LNG loaded the 100th LNG carrier at Balhaf.

The LNG carrier Maersk Marib, chartered by Yemen LNG under a 20 year contract, sailed away to Isle of Grain, UK where the LNG is sold at North West Europe market price, well above the Henry hub price of the US market.

In 2011 Yemen LNG produces at the nominal capacity of 6.7MT.

For several months in a row, the availability of the whole chain of production has reached 100%, including the black18 fields, the pipeline, the LNG plant at Balhaf.

This robust industrial performance continues, permitting to deliver all customers on time and to secure new destinations at a higher sales price.

Yemen LNG plans to load 104 LNG carriers at Balhaf in 2011.
